Student teaching is over, and I survived. Not only that, I got some glowing reviews. Hopefully that will help me get a job.
On the project front, I've been working on 1880s stuff in preparation for my silly croquet birthday party in the rose garden.
I recently went to the good fabric store and fruits of that trip will yield:
1. A red chinese silk brocade 1940s pencil skirt for a friend
2. A plum silk taffeta 18th century robe a l'anglaise with gold, cream and green striped silk petticoat. :

:
The Anglaise isgoing to be a birthday gift for my mom in light of the disasterous gold caraco incident at this year's regimental christmas party. Now I just need to get her stays before I can fit the gown.
Expect soon:
- a black velvet hat with calla lilies and cocque feathers
- a black velvet hat with red roses
- a double breasted green and gold brocade vest
- two 18th century waistcoats
- a late 1880s ensemble in pale green satin
- an 18th century hat done in black chinese brocade
