Black obi based on Simplicity 4080 for my Scorpion character for our Legend of the Five Rings LARP, Honor and Steel. It's made of fake Japanese brocade, cable ties for extra stiffness, a piece of a cardboard box, and some poly fill.
The idea was mourning, but in an elegant way that subtly communicates "I am now available". The obi has long tails that come down in the back, characteristic of younger, unmarried girls. |
